First steps for Lithgow Jobs and Investment Committee to set the course for economic transition
Lithgow City Council recently adopted its bold economic transition plan, the Lithgow Emerging Economy Plan (LEEP) and subsequently established the ‘Lithgow Jobs and Investment Committee’ which met for the first time in the past week. The committee is tasked with implementing the LEEP and is progressing the Council’s economic transition plan at an increasing pace.

The draft Lithgow Emerging Economy Plan (also known as the LEEP) is in its final form and is available to the community for review and comment. The ambition of LEEP is to re-shape, diversify and grow the city’s economy.
Lithgow City Council endorses the Lithgow Emerging Economy Plan
Lithgow City Council has taken decisive action to re-shape Lithgow’s economic future. At the November Council Meeting the Lithgow Evolving Economy Plan (LEEP) was endorsed. The Plan, which is based on extensive analysis of Lithgow’s endowments and key economic trends, will guide the key actions that are taken over the next decade to grow and diversify the local economy.
